Using GTR Player
GTR Player is intended for personal guitar practice and music study. You are responsible for using the app lawfully and for following the rights and licences attached to your music.
Your content
You retain your rights in audio and project information you import or create. You must own that content or have permission to use it. GTR Player does not grant rights to copy, distribute or share third-party music.
Automatic analysis
Chord detection and other musical analysis are estimates. Results can vary with the recording, mix, tuning and instrumentation. You should review them, and GTR Player must not be relied on as a guaranteed transcription.
Availability and compatibility
Features may require a supported iPad, Mac, Apple system version or iCloud account. Audio-format support can depend on Apple platform codecs. Features may change as the app develops.
Free edition and subscriptions
At launch, GTR Player will be free to download for supported Macs and iPads. The free edition allows up to 10 user-imported songs currently in the Library, with all practice features available and all edits saved, without a time limit. The 48 included backing tracks are separate from this allowance. There is no timed trial or automatic charge for using the free edition.
Importing an eleventh song requires the unlimited-import subscription at US$30 per year. One subscription covers supported Macs and iPads using the same Apple Account for App Store purchases, and app updates are included. Apple displays the actual local price, billing period, renewal details and cancellation instructions before purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled; Apple manages billing and cancellation through your App Store account. No purchase starts automatically when you open GTR Player.
Upgrading does not overwrite your existing songs or edits. Cancelling renewal keeps unlimited imports available until the end of the paid period. After that, all saved songs remain available for playback and editing. New imports require fewer than 10 imported songs in the Library, or an active subscription. Your own song Library syncs separately through your personal iCloud account.
Backups
Please keep an independent copy of important audio files. iCloud sync is convenient but is not a substitute for a separate backup.
Acceptable use
Do not use GTR Player to infringe copyright, bypass digital protection, distribute music without permission, disrupt the service or attempt unauthorised access to software or data.

GTR Player is provided as a music-practice tool. To the extent allowed by applicable law, it is provided without a promise that every analysis result will be accurate or that the app will meet every individual musical need.
